Methodology
How We Rate UK Casinos

Each operator on Gaming Casebook receives a letter grade from A to D across eight criteria. Grades reflect hands-on checks of the live site, not marketing claims. We prioritise game variety and live-dealer depth because that is where operators differ most for UK players.
The eight criteria
- UKGC Licence — valid UK Gambling Commission licence on the public register.
- Game Range — slot and table-game count, category navigation and search.
- Live Casino — blackjack, roulette, baccarat and game-show tables from major studios.
- Mobile App — native iOS/Android apps or mobile-web performance.
- Game Studios — breadth of suppliers: NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Evolution, etc.
- Welcome Offer — structure and wagering terms, not headline size.
- Support — live chat, email and published support hours.
- Usability — account setup, lobby speed and day-to-day navigation.
- Overall — weighted summary of the seven factors above.
Grade scale
A — among the strongest on this criterion for UK players. B — solid, with minor gaps. C — functional but clearly behind peers. D — below what we expect from a licensed operator in this area.
Independence
Gaming Casebook is affiliate-funded. Commission does not change grades — we apply the same rubric to every operator, partner or not. We are not a casino and do not process player funds.
